Privacy Policy
FilePerch is a Windows utility that holds temporary file references while you drag and drop. This policy explains what we collect and what we do not.
1. The desktop app
By default, the FilePerch application:
- Does not upload your files or file contents to our servers
- Does not sell or share personal data with advertisers
- Keeps shelf items as local path references on your device
- Does not require an account to use core features
Optional update checks or licensing (when enabled in a future release) will only send the minimum technical data needed (for example app version). You will be able to turn non-essential network features off when they exist.
2. This website & waitlist
If you join the waitlist on fileperch.hayasaka.app, we receive the email address you submit so we can notify you about launch. We use it only for that purpose and related product updates. You can ask us to delete it anytime at the contact email above.
The site may be hosted on Cloudflare. Standard server logs (IP, user agent) may be processed by the host for security and reliability.
3. Microsoft Store
If you install FilePerch from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft may process purchase, licensing, and diagnostic data under Microsoft’s own policies. We do not receive your payment card details.
4. Children’s privacy
FilePerch is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13.
5. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Effective” date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
